Flower Arranging
Have you given a lot of consideration to where your food comes from? What about the flowers you get at the supermarket? After chatting a bit about the importance of local blooms, you’ll be guided through making their own arrangement to take home using flowers grown at River Bend Homestead.

Seed Starting 101
Starting your own seeds has many benefits, one of those being a way to bring the green of Spring into your life a little sooner! While it may seem intimidating and overwhelming to figure out how to get started, this workshop will cover all of the seed starting basics and even give you the chance to start a few to take home. We’ll cover supplies, where to buy, soil nutrients, overall care, and how to set your freshly planted seedlings up for success in your summer of gardening to come!

Grow Your Own Bouquet
Want to step outside and cut yourself a beautiful bouquet? In this class participants will start a variety of seeds to get perfect summer bouquets growing!

Growing food is fun, but preserving it to use in cooking all year long is rewarding. Learn how to plan what to grow for your family size and how to preserve your harvest with freezing, canning, and dehydrating!
